Noise Engineering's Vice Virga is an eight-channel sequential switcher packed with flexibility, making it perfect for routing all your sounds in an orderly or random fashion. With eight individual inputs and outputs, you can patch in a variety of CV and audio sources for setting up waveform selection, chained sequencers, and everything in between. Vice Virga can operate as a single eight-channel, dual four-channel, or four two-channel switchers, offering multiple routing configurations and even affording some complex, self-patched switching. Advancing and scanning through Vice Virga is easy to do manually, or set up CV and clock/trigger inputs for creating quantized and synchronized patterns.
Advancing through Noise Engineering Vice Virga can be done in a linear or random fashion, based upon how you set up the Beh and Adv three way switches. The Adv switch offers directional control, be it forward, backwards, or pendulum, while the Beh switch allows you to determine how strictly the sequence sticks to the direction. The Beh options give you a sequential mode that is a 1 for 1 of your original sequence, a 1>1? mode that will randomize but always start on the 1, and 1>x? mode that gives you a completely random sequence with no discernable start or end point. Additionally, you can have manual and CV controllable resetting that changes based on the above mentioned parameters. Vice Virga brings you a ton of flexible routing options for creative audio and CV manipulation.
