The Modal Skulpt is a compact and powerful polyphonic virtual analogue synthesizer. Create powerful leads, deep evolving basslines, and cinematic pads all from this pocket-sized synth! The 4-voice virtual analog synthesizer is fitted with 8 oscillators per voice, each with 2 selectable waveforms. Users can achieve FM and PWM, as well as apply ring modulation. Additionally, it features duophonic and polyphonic modes, as well as unison/spread for detuning all of its 32 oscillators and achieving a massive sound.
The Modal Skulpt includes a 16-note keypad for note and control input, a step sequencer, and an arpeggiator. The 128-patch presets help make sound selection quick and easy, meaning you spend more time creating. A unique feature is the portability of the Skulpt, battery powered for up to 12 hours on six AA batteries so you can have it with you whenever and wherever the inspiration strikes. Prepare to unleash your creativity with pulse-width modulation, FM, ring modulation, a 2-pole resonant VCF that can be morphed (from low-pass, through band-pass, and up to high-pass), three separate envelope generators, two LFOs, and eight modulation slots with eight sources and thirty-seven destinations.
A fully MIDI-syncable delay section and waveshaping distortion effect are available to further shape your sound. Programming and fine-tuning Modal Skulpt is easy with the MODALapp editor. Compatible with Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android devices (free download available separately). Providing complete visual control of all the parameters, and patch management. Simply connect SKULPT to any device running one of the supported operating systems with a micro-USB cable, and you are good to go. The software editor is completely optional and not required to use any of the SKULPT synthesizer’s sound engine.
