The 6000 series Yamaha Timpani feature a copper bowl design that brings out a bright, resonant, well-defined tone. The bowl is seated in a “Floating Mount” suspension ring and does not contact any other part of the instrument. This prevents distortion of the bowl and allows unrestricted head oscillation for superior tone, resonance, and pitch clarity. Pedal spring and head tension are balanced so the set pitch is maintained even if the player removes his or her foot from the pedal. The sound and playability of this series makes it suitable for stages from schools to concert halls. Pricing is for 20" single timpani. Please contact us for pricing on 23", 26", 29" and 32" drums.
