Details

Blend reverb and cascading analog amplification stages to create complex and abrasive textures. Expanding on the idea of running reverb into distortion, the Decay Cascade can produce lo-fi subtlety or slabs of disintegrated noise. Or both.

Dial in reverb ranging from a light bounce to saturated drones, with a maximum decay time of about 20 seconds. The reverb mix is sent to a versatile drive circuit with a voltage sag gate for extra deterioration. Combine dry, reverb, and distorted reverb layers into your desired textural mix. The entire mix then passes through a preamp stage inspired by 1960s era research amplifiers that can add another boost of raw gain and gated tails, with an optional low pass filter. Add a little dust and murk, or create the sound of amp death. Thankfully, there is a volume control.

Key Features:

  • Combines an onboard reverb with cascading analog amplification stages to create textures ranging from subtle lo-fi warmth to heavy, disintegrating noise.
  • Extended decay times up to ~20 seconds, allowing for everything from light room reflections to fully saturated ambient drones.
  • Versatile drive circuit with a voltage sag gate that introduces texture, sputter, and heavy signal deterioration.
  • Flexible three-way mix section to blend dry signal, clean reverb, and distorted reverb layers independently.
  • Vintage-style preamp stage based on 1960s laboratory research amps, adding additional raw boost, gated decay tails, and an optional low-pass filter to control top-end bite.
  • Master volume control to safely manage extreme gain and fuzz outputs.
